One of the nicest points about working in center city is the view of the city everyday. Philadelphia, particularly when seen in the early morning light, is one of the most attractive cities I've been to.
My ride into town takes me right past boathouse row, past the art museum steps, and up the parkway facing city hall. If I time it right, the sun is just beginning to crest the river as I pull into town and the light reflecting off of the buildings radiates with a warm orange glow. The other morning, as I was going about my business in the office, I noticed a grouping of buildings reflecting off of a pane of glass from just outside an empty office. I stopped and appreciated it for a few moments, the grabbed my camera from my bag, slid into the office, pressed the camera against the window, and quietly snapped a photo. It'll last longer that way. I've also updated Eastland's gallery, reachable here or from the link that says Eastland on the front page. Check that page frequently for updates. It's short tonight. I'll blame it on Daylight Saving's Time. |
