Saturday night, we went miniature golfing. It was Michelle's idea, of course. The last time we went, I played pretty poorly, so she figured beating me Saturday would be a quick way to boost her ego. Only it didn't quite happen that way.
We both shot even par on the first hole, an easy straight shot down the green. The second hole, Michelle again shot even par while I whacked the ball from one side of the hole to the other, going three shots over. It would be an understatement to say she was gloating. Still glowing from her victory at the second hole, Michelle could barely believe her eyes as I swiftly sunk the first of four holes-in-one for the evening. From the fourth hole through the eighteenth, I shot even par for the course, including those four additional one shot holes. By the time the evening was done, I was three over par for the course and Michelle was rather annoyed that her victory plans were thwarted by my unusually good luck that evening. Everything was good as new, of course, after a consulation Dairy Queen sundae. Four holes in one. I am the white Tiger Woods of miniature golf! |
