There was an absolutely beautiful sunset this evening. Of course, I was inside playing Diablo II during the entire show, but Michelle went outside and took a photo with my digital camera so I could download it and view it on my computer when I was done.
Actually, I did go over to the window and appreciate the view for a few minutes as the sky slowly changed colors over the rooftops of town. During the winter months, the sun sets straight down the street from our house, offering a picturesque view of Washington Avenue from our third floor window. The days are too long in the summer, however, and we have to press our faces against the back windows to see the show of a 9pm sunset. My flexible schedule this year has allowed me to spend a lot of time outdoors during the day. As a result, my farmertan is the best it's been in years. My arms and neck are a healthy bronze with a very sharp and clear separation at my shirt sleeves to my natural ivory tone. With my perfect Farmertan in place, I'm particularly looking forward to a pool party we've been invited to next weekend. It will be the first public showing of the completed work for the year. And perhaps the last. We've been enjoying a near perfect summer of beautiful weather this year, and if the trend continues, next weekend should be perfect for a pool party. Thus far, we've had a perfect mix of clear weekends, mild weather, and the occasional rain storm to keep things interesting. Of course, today's perfect weather started with the most comfortable of cool mornings. But it ended with a beautiful sunset that literally lit up the entire town. The neighbors were all out enjoying the show. And thanks to Michelle, I didn't have to miss a moment of video game action to enjoy the beauty of it all. |
