Easter Sunday
Eastland was Mr. Raspberry on Friday night. We went over to the big Kimberton fair for dinner and some entertainment and in between staring at all the bright lights and funny animals, Eastland practiced his raspberries. Pfbbbbbbbbbbt. He's getting pretty good at them.

The Kimberton fair is always a good night out and Friday evening it was packed. The line of cars waiting to get into the parking lot stretched for a mile down the road from the front entrance to the fairgrounds so we skirted along some back roads and pulled in the super secret back drive behind the firehouse.

The grassy lots were full, however, when we pulled in and I was forced to back the Land Cruiser up a steep incline where we parked with the tailgate pointed towards the sky and the front bumper nearly touching the ground. Forced or not, it was a pretty cool parking spot, with the truck sitting at an extreme angle. We even got a few nods of approval from some passing teenagers as we pulled the stroller from the skyward tailgate.

The main circuit at the fair was shoulder-to-shoulder crowds. We got into the main flow and began making our way along the midway. We ate last year at one of the stock fairground vending booths, pizza and some fries, nothing special. After we ate last year, however, we continued around and noticed several local organizations with a healthy selection of tasty items notched into the back corner of the fairgrounds.

So this year, we strolled right on past the standard fries and pizza and bloomin' onion stands and went straight to the local folks selling the BBQ Pork sandwiches. Oh how tasty it was, indeed. It's not often that food makes a distinct impression on Michelle, but earlier today, Sunday, she was still smacking her lips and reminiscing about that pork sandwich. Yes it was tasty.

Our dining experience a success, we took a few moments to watch the farm show. Kids from local farms and organizations show off their livestock for prizes. They were showing cows and Eastland had never before seen a cow. Michelle liften him from his stroller and walked him up to a cow standing by the fence. His eyes grew wide and he began making raspberries with particular gusto.

The raspberries continued for the rest of the evening as we watched the cows, strolled around some more, had an ice cream sandwich and exited the fair back towards the coolest park job in the lot.

We loaded everyone back into the truck at a 30 degree angle and snuck back out the rear entrance. As we skipped along the back roads, we could see the traffic exiting the main entrance of the fair.
